Tommy Kyung-Tae Nam is a Project Designer at HOK in Chicago. Previously working at SOM and Goettsch Partners based in Chicago. He is the recipient of the Burton L. Kampner Memorial Award for the best graduate thesis project called (a)typical office at the University of Michigan, Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Nam is undergoing a research publication in sponsorship by IIT College of Architecture as the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize Winner in 2016. Tommy is also a co-founder of PROJECT-Project. He has received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at the University of Illinois and a Masters of Architecture at the University of Michigan. He is specifically interested in work consisting of the collection of data, analysis of information and space, and networks of forces that define and expand architecture and designed objects.
